"Axel" Wants a Forever Home
Axel came to HPPH in 2011 along with KiKi and Isabelle. He was a stray tomcat that his owner had taken in, but then found herself unable to care for them. Axel is a big, loving teddy bear! He enjoys belly rubs, catnip toys, sunny window sills and a good conversation. He likes to tell you about his day and activities. As you can see, he's a rather large and in charge type of guy.....he's not big on being picked up but he sure does love to be petted a lots of attention! Axel was born around 2008 and has been neutered. He is just a big teddy bear and would love a chance at a forever home again!
Denver came to HPPH the winter of 2011. He was a stray being fed by one of our volunteers. Denver is a very nice guy, enjoys lots of attention, toys, bird watching and good food. He likes playing with the laser light and hanging out with the other cats. Denver is about 4 yrs old and has been neutered. He is currently accepting adoption applications, packed and ready for a home of his very own. Denver would make an excellent addition to any family. Stop by and meet him!
Windsor came to HPPH the winter of 2011. She was a stray being fed by one of our volunteers. She was born around 2008. Windsor is a relax kind of gal, likes a slow paced life. She enjoys napping in a sunny window, bird watching or hanging out on the cat tree watching the others. Windsor would make a great addition to any family. Stop by and meet her!
Hi there! My name is Two Spots. Yes, kind of an odd name......some of us here do have different names. Little quirks, reminders or physical appearances do sometimes lead to a permanent name. Mine..... I have 2 white spots on my back, near my hips. I have to say, I am an all around nice guy. I was found out in the yard of HPPH, an unaltered tomcat. I get along with both dogs and cats and pre...tty much all people. I am very friendly. I enjoy toys, you can never have too many and I do love that turbo toy where the ball goes around in a circle! And catnip.... you can never have too many toys ( did I say that already?) or too much nip!!!! I was born around the spring of 2012, have been neutered and UTD on vaccines. I have plenty of love to give and would enjoy an home of my very own! Stop by and meet me!
You don't need to be a human to be a good football player just look at me I can play ball with the best of them even when I am only 8 weeks old! I'm very active and love to play. I have had my baby shots;been tested for Fiv/Felu;and will be neutered when i become 16 weeks old. why not come out and play ball with me or add me to your family as another football fan!?
Echo is a beautiful, sleek lady. She was found one rainy morning in a carrier with her 4 kittens ( about 4 mo old) at the gate at the end of our drive way this summer. She is recently spayed, UTD on vaccines and was born probably around 2010. Echo is a pretty laid back gal and gets along well with the other cats. She was a bit standoffish at first, but has gotten past that. It's hard to say where she came from or what her life was like before coming to HPPH. Regardless of her past, she deserves a forever home. Echo is very sweet and would do well in probably any home. Stop out and meet her!
Abby Ale came to HPPH the fall of 2010 with her mates. Their mother had been found hit on the road and they needed to be bottle fed. Abby Ale is a great gal, very affectionate and playful. She enjoys helping with the cleaning in her room and jumping in the empty trash can! From an inner ear infection she has a slight head tilt, but that doesn't stop her! She gets around with the best of them, running and playing. Stop by and see her!
WOW... what some humans will name you ... Just because I'm nice and Hairy on my "Behind"... They decided to name me "Fuzzy-Butt"! Oh well, if you decide to adopt me, I will allow you to call me "Mr.Macho" if you prefer. I am only 12 weeks old; male; vaccinated; tested for Fiv/Felu and will be neutered when I turn 16 weeks old. I love to play with lots of different toys and other kittens. Please stop by and meet me today. P.S. the writer said to say that I also like to wrestle with other kittens too! :3
Abby was adopted from HPPH in 2003 when she was about 12 weeks old. She came back to HPPH a couple of years ago because her family had children and just didn't have time to care for her, she was their only pet. Abby is spayed and front declawed. Being an only pet for so many years it was a big adjustment for her to live with other cats, but she has overcome that. Though she would still like to ...be the Queen of the house, she does tolerate others. Abby enjoys a seat in a window to do some bird watching or whatever wildlife is outside, rolling in catnip and playing with the laser light. She also enjoys just sitting and being petted. Abby would do best in a home with older children. Would you give her another chance at a forever home? Stop by and meet her!
Skeeter came to HPPH the fall of 2011. She is spayed and front declawed, born in 2001. Don't let her age fool you! She is a spunky little calico! Skeeter enjoys lots of attention. She is very helpful with the cleaning too. Skeeter's human family had health issues and could no longer care for her. She has a great personality and is very out going. Skeeter gets along with other cats, dogs and would probably be ok with older children. She is a wonderful cat looking for her own retirement home! Stop by and meet her
Dorothy is my name.....monitoring the supplies is my game! It's a good thing this is a strong box. You will usually find me here during cleaning times, making sure not more trash bags are used than are needed. I was a stray on the streets of Huntington being fed by some kind people who were also caring for others like me. I came to HPPH with my kits last fall. They are growing like weeds and ...no longer need their mother. They are some beautiful kits and are entering their "teenage years". I have (thankfully as I have had previous litters) been spayed, felv/fiv neg & UTD on vaccines. I enjoy just hanging out and loving the indoor living! So thankful to be in with the winter we have had! I was born around 2010. I get along with other cats and dogs as long as they stay out of my face. I do have a little tortie=tude. But that's ok, one of the ladies here has a soft spot for torties! She says it just adds some spice to life! Stop by and meet me!
Pinky is a wonderful lady! She's very entertaining and has quite a pesonality. She came to HPPH the summer of 2012, very pregnant. All of her kits are gone, as well as those she fostered and she's now ready for a home of her very own. She still enjoys being a mother, caring for the young kittens when they are out. Guessing she was born around 2010. She is active and playful and enjoys hanging out watching the wildlife outside. Pinky would do best in a home with older children, she's very unsure about the younger ones. Why not give her a chance?! Stop by and meet her!
Sally came from the Salamonie reservoir the summer of 2011. She was very thin and had been eating what campers had left for her. You could tell by her appearance that she was not a true stray on her own, but that someone had probably dropped her off there. Sally was born around 2007, she has been spayed, felv/fiv neg and UTD on vaccines. She has filled out and flourished into a wonderful lady! She is still very active and playful when the urge strikes her and enjoys a good roll in some catnip. Sally is a smaller lady, but she is mighty! She would do best in a home with older kids. Sally is currently taking adoption applications......Stop by and meet her!
Hi everyone the beautiful rusted tabby is Cricket! She is a little bit older but not to old she was born in 2006 so shes about 8 years old but still a little playful. She is scared of thing that bounce so, dont get her anything that bounces as a toy! She is friendly and loves to sleep!

Begonia came to HPPH the spring of 2012. Her family had several cats that they could no longer care for. Begonia has some genetic issues with her eyes. Her cornea ruptured in the left and had to be removed. The right eye has a haze over it so it appears cloudy, but she can see. Begonia is a very sweet girl and likes to play with little fuzzy mice. She also enjoys napping in a sunny window. Begonia has been spayed and guessing was born around 2008. Don't feel sorry for Begonia because she is missing an eye. She is pain free with it gone and she gets along great. She would make a great addition to any family with older children. Stop by and meet Begonia
Tipper is a large and in charge kind of guy! His owner could no longer care for him do to health issues and Tipper came back to HPPH after 8 yrs. He was born in 2004, is neutered and all 4 declawed. Tipper is a people cat and enjoys lots of attention. He loves to be petted and brushed. He's crazy about treats and catnip. Tipper is looking for a home to retire to in his senior years. He is an active young senior but would do best in a home without young kids. His previous owners grandson was not very nice to him. Tipper is a great guy who deserves a second chance at a forever home. Could that be with you? Stop by and meet him

Hello! Grab a snack, relax and let me tell you about myself....... I was a stray roaming the country side of Huntington when I came across a couple that set food out for the feral/stray cats that passed by and the regulars that they cared for. It was a very cold November day when I first stopped by. Finding food and shelter I decided to stay awhile as I had an injured leg. Being in so much pain an...d it infected I don't remember what had happened, but it was very traumatic. The couple had cut a hole in the trellis around their porch for a shelter, I found this and there I stayed. The lady seen me and brought me some very good food and fresh water. I was very scared and hid from her. One day while I was out for a walk she noticed that I had an injured front leg. She got some antibiotics and put them in my can food. The ladies think this is what saved me as my leg was horribly infected even on the meds. This went on for several weeks. I went off for a few days and the lady thought the worst had happened to me, but I came back. I would still hide from her when she put my food under the porch. Then one day I let her pet my head when she reached under, I wasn't feel well at all. She could tell and got things ready to see if she could get me out from under the porch. When she got me out she noticed that most of my front leg was missing. She loaded me up and took me straight to Village Animal Hospital. I was a young, healthy boy ( except for my leg) so they thought I would have a good out come with surgery to remove the rest of the leg. It didn't take long for me to learn to trust the girls at he animal hospital, I enjoyed being petted even my belly. The surgery went well, was also neutered, tested negative for felv/fiv and eventually started on my vaccines. I cannot thank the lady enough for caring for me and being patient. She has been a wonderful supporter of HPPH over the years and paid for my entire bill at the animal hospital!! Dawn took me back to HPPH and things have been great! I got my staples out, incision looks good and now most of my hair has grown back. It's now been a few months and I'm settled in. I am still a bit skiddish with new people, but I'm working on that and I do warm up pretty quick. I get around great with just 3 legs. I enjoy the company of the other cats. Life is now good for me!!! I surely would not have made it long especially with the winter we had, without the help of that very kind couple watching over me. So now I am ready for the next step in my new life and that's finding my forever home! So being found during the Christmas movie season, my name is Clark W. (as in Griswold.....the VAH girls are fans!) Clark W. is my name.....finding a forever home is my game!!! Stop by and meet me!
Good day everyone! I'm Ozzie, a senior cat at the ripe old age of 10 years old. I have been neutered and current on vaccinations. I'm very laid back and I enjoy listenting to hmans when they talk to each other. I love to be brushed while setting on your lap. If you have time, I hope you will stop by and do a meet-n-greet with me today!
This beautiful tabby is Gertie. She was found outside of HPPH the summer of 2011, she was just about 4 months old. Gertie is alot of fun and enjoys playing and acting silly. She makes a funny little noise like a bird chirp when she's excited. No matter how much attention you have just given her, if your arms are full of linens, or you are carrying out a bag of litter she flops on a piece of furniture or shelf near you and shows off her belly for one more rub. Gertie gets long well with other cats and dogs. She has been spayed and is ready for a home her own!

Sassy is a very pretty little orange lady. She was found in an apartment by the movers. They didn't find any cat things and the couple who hired them didn't mention having a cat in the apartment. She may have just wondered in, but would have had to climb 3 stories up metal outdoor steps. She was very untrusting of people for several months. She has settled down and enjoys being petted but does startle easy. Sassy gets along with the other cats, as long as they stay their distance. If they find themselves in her space she finds another place to be. Sassy loves catnip, toys and enjoys watching the world thru the windows. Sassy is spayed and was born around 2008. She would love a home of her very own. Would do best with older or no children. She would probably enjoy an older couple/person. Sassy is a very nice lady if given a chance to settle in. Stop by and meet her!

Hi, I'm Confetti! I was born around 2005 or 2006 and I've been told I have a "typical Calico" attitude. If that means I think I'm 'numero uno', then they are right. I'm the prettiest one on the block! Other cats are OK, but honestly would prefer to hold first and only position. Really, who wouldn't?" Confetti was found outside in the field by Village Animal Hospital. She was very thin and hungry. Confetti is spayed and UTD on vaccines. Stop by and meet her

Who says you need a tail to be a cat? I lost my tail to a car engine when I was just a foolish kitten. I'm nowyears old and I can balance just like any other feline. I have a beautiful tortie attitude and I will let you know when you are wrong. I normally prefer to take lots of sun-naps, but I prefer to lounge around when the sun is not shining. I'm spayed and current on my vaccinations. Come visit me today!
Artie is a manly man! He came to HPPH this summer in a live trap. Was in the wrong place ( in the trap) at the right time ( to be taken to HPPH). Really no need for the trap, he walked right out and into his new bed. Artie is a fun loving guy, very playful and funny. Guessing he was born around 2011, he has been neutered, felv/fiv neg and UTD on vaccines. Artie gets along very well with other cats of all ages. He enjoys lots of attention and petting. He would make a great addition to any family. Stop by and meet Artie!

Smoke came to HPPH about 7 yrs ago. He was a traveling tom that was traveling thru a volunteers yard. Of course they would set food out when they seen him, but were unable to take him in. He is a wonderful man, large but very gentle. Smoke is pretty laid back, not much seems to bother him. He does enjoy a good roll in some catnip and crunchy treats! Smoke is a young senior now, born around 2004. He gets along well with other cats and would probably be ok with dogs. Smoke enjoys lots of attention and being petted. He would make a great addition to any family. Stop by and meet him!

Many of you may remember Bevan. She was the "fence kitty" from last year (2013). Bevan had gotten tangled up in some farm fence and had dislocated her hip and knee. She was found by some wonderful people who called our county aco. Dr. Haney couldn't get her hip to stay in and with her toes already starting to die from lack of circulation, it was decided that it would be best for her to remove her back... leg. Bevan has bounced back from her injuries and is in great shape! She was born around 2011, has been spayed and UTD on vaccines. Bevan gets along very well with other cats and enjoys playing. She can climb with ease up the cat tree, up to shelves in her room and on beds. She is a wonderful tortie with the most gorgeous green eyes. Bevan would love to have a family of her very own! Stop by and meet her!
